Activity 1 > Learning about Bears: Animal Facts Activity (offline and online) Ages
3+ Animal Alphabet Poster or Flashcard or make a mini-book: B Bear color black & white 1. Encourage a discussion and dialogue: *Demonstrate the bear & teddy bear images in the poster. *Ask the children if they have ever seen a real bear and discuss comments. *What do they know about bears. Read the basic bear facts in the poster and visit the online resources below to expand on information and real images of bears. *Ask children to find all the letter Bb's. *Do they have a favorite story or book / TV bear character, such as the ones in the poster: Winnie the Pooh or Corduroy. Additional activity: Print the card twice to play a concentration memory game. Mix cards, place face down. Lift two cards, if they match set aside, if they don't place back down.
