Materials

Here are some ideas:  (adapt these to any color).
*  Wear something green
*  Sit on green grass, carpet, towel, bed sheet or green old tablecloth.
*  Put together  snacks for the picnic that are green:  green grapes, celery sticks, pickles, green apples, green beans, peas, broccoli

Ask child what is his/her favorite green food and why.
What other things he/she likes that are green.

Ideas:  Occasions & Events in which to also include this color picnic activity:
*March 17 - St. Patrick's Day (GREEN)
*March or April - Easter Eggs basket
* June is Fruit and Vegetable month > incorporate this Fruits basket or Vegetable basket craft
* June is Dairy Month -  dedicate a picnic to the topic of dairy products with Dairy Basket
*July is National Picnic Month (Picnic theme)
*July 10 Teddy Bear Picnic Day-include Teddy Bear related activities and crafts
