Prints in portrait or landscape mode. Decorate with stickers and have children point to the day of the week and name it, name the month and circle each days' number. Example: "Today is Monday, September
__(circle the number)." Older children can also name the year.
Story Paper: Drawing and Handwriting
For the months, seasons and special holidays of the year: have children make a favorite holiday or seasonal drawing during each month. Make a special drawing depicting their birthday month. Practice writing the month word, or help children write a description of the drawing. Place the artwork next to the current monthly calendar in a visible place.
