Chinese New Year o Lunar New Year is a special time to celebrate with family and friends. It's like a big party that marks the beginning of a new year on the Chinese calendar as well as the start of spring. Each year is named after one of twelve zodiac animals, and people born in that year are said to share some of the animal's traits. The year is also connected to one of five elements, such as fire, wood, water, earth, or metal.
