  • Present the words in batches, 4 to 6 words at a time.
  • The worksheets are available with dotted words or blank lines. The blank lines format is to practice independently (beginning letter or word), select a different word used in your country or region (example: bauble vs. ornament, present vs. gift), or for a another language.
  • Discuss and select the appropiate holiday colors for specific items, such as red for Santa's hat, green for tree, etc.

Mini-book assembly ideas:

  • The booklet can be assembled after it is colored in or blank. The booklet is a purse friendly size to take on holiday trips.
  • Print the booklet cover insert. The word cards are inserted in the middle fold of this template.
    • Cut on the outside frame of the template.
    • Cut word cards individually or cut across the two middle lines to keep the word cards in pairs and fold these in the middle line.
    • Organize in alphabetical order, insert in the booklet cover insert.
    • Staple close to the left edge ensuring the pages are held together, but not obstructing the images.
  • Accordion booklet: keep the image pairs together, and tape the pairs in the blank side, side by side.
