Santa Claus Fun with Colors and Shapes Preschool Printable Activity · Christmas

Materials:

• printer
• white paper or card stock
• coloring tools
• scissors
• glue
• optional: Christmas stickers

Visit the Santa Claus, Elves and Reindeers theme and educational topics in the themes above for various activities to supplement this activity.

Skills: precursor to handwriting [tracing], shapes and colors recognition, counting, scissor cutting skills, hand and eye coordination [match and paste]

Instructions:

1. Color the wreath green
   
   
2. Color the bow red
   
   
3. Identify each color and shape
   
   
4. Count the shapes > optional > write numbers in front or behind the shapes
   
   
5. Cut out the shapes and paste on the wreath

Coloring version:

1. Color the wreath green
   
   
2. Color bow, and Santa's cap red
   
   
3. Have children color the shapes with designated colors > primary and secondary colors, and one more color.
   
   
4. Follow steps steps 3 and 5 above for color version.

Crafty idea > Make an Ornament:

• Add cotton batting or cotton balls to Santa's beard and cap trim.
• Cut loosely around the wreath
• Add string or ribbon to make an ornament.
