A Witch: A Magical Mystery
In the enchanting world of fantasy, mythology, folklore, and children's literature, witches are often portrayed as mysterious and powerful figures. They are often associated with magic, spells, potions, and a touch of mischief. While they may sometimes be depicted as scary or evil, they can also be kind, helpful, and even a little bit silly.
Two Examples of Witches in Children's Literature:
The Wicked Witch of the West: From The Wizard of Oz, this iconic witch is known for her green skin, pointy hat, and wicked ways. She is a classic example of a villainous witch, using her magic to terrorize.
The Good Witch of the North: Also from The Wizard of Oz, this kind-hearted witch wears a pure white dress with stars and a pointy white hat in the book or a crown in the film version. She is a helpful and benevolent figure who guides the main character on her journey and protects her from harm.
