Teacher's
Appreciation Week | Community Helpers | Handprint Flower Craft | Preschool Lesson Plan Activities
Let's show our teacher's and child care
providers how much they mean to all of us: to our children, our
families and the community.
In 1984 the National PTA instituted Teacher's
Appreciation Week, the first full week in May and the second Tuesday in May is National
Teacher's Day.
In 1994 the UNESCO instituted World
Teachers Day celebrated October 5.
Also, another important event is Child
Care Provider's Appreciation Day - celebrated the Friday before
Mother's Day.
If children are attending a part-time or full time preschool or a
child care facility this is a special activity in which the entire
family can participate to honor teachers and child care
providers.
The dedication and love that our children receive from teachers and
child care providers is immeasurable and affects the entire family,
with this mind this craft will express to them that the entire
family cares for their dedication.
