ABOUT THE ALBATROSS:
  1. Albatross Wingspan Wins! With the biggest wingspan of any bird, reaching up to 11 feet (3.5 meters), they can soar for miles on just a single flap, catching wind currents like surfers on a wave.
  2. Soaring Sailors: Albatrosses are incredible gliders. They use air currents to fly for miles with barely a flap! Sailors used to believe seeing an albatross meant good luck on their journey.
  3. Dancing Duos: Albatrosses are dance champions too! They perform elaborate dances with their mates, puffing out their chests, bowing, and clacking their beaks to win a lifelong partner.
  4. Albatross Alarms: Sadly, these majestic birds are endangered. Pollution in the oceans, like plastic they mistake for food, and getting caught on fishing hooks threaten their survival.

Albatrosses are found in the Southern Hemisphere, from Antarctica to South America, Australia, and New Zealand.
