ABOUT THE TURKEY:
  1. Gobble, Gobble! It's Turkey Time! Turkeys are big birds with impressive feathers, kind of like a feathered prize chicken. They're native to North America, which means they've lived here for a very long time!
  2. Thanksgiving Feast! In the United States, turkeys are a special part of a holiday called Thanksgiving. People gather with family and friends to enjoy a big meal, and turkey is often the main course!
  3. Wild vs. Farmyard Turkeys! There are two types of turkeys: wild turkeys and domesticated turkeys. Wild turkeys live in forests and fields, and they can fly short distances to escape danger.
  4. Tame Travels! Domesticated turkeys are the kind you might see on a farm. They're raised by people for their meat and feathers. These turkeys are bigger than wild ones and can't really fly.
  5. Funny red wattles! Both wild and domesticated turkeys have funny red wattles! These are the wobbly red bits that hang under their chins. They gobble and strut their stuff to show off!
