The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs
Once upon a time, in a cozy little farm, there lived a kind farmer and his very special goose. This wasn’t just any goose—it was a magical goose that laid one shiny, golden egg every single day! Each morning, the farmer would tiptoe to the nest, and there it was: a beautiful golden egg, sparkling like sunshine. He took the eggs to town and sold them, and soon he had enough money to buy warm clothes, yummy food, and even a new red wagon.
But after a while, the farmer started to feel greedy. “One golden egg a day is too slow,” he grumbled. “I want ALL the golden eggs right now! ”So he came up with a plan—a very bad plan. He thought, “If I open the goose, I’ll find a whole pile of golden eggs inside!” But when he did, there were no eggs at all. And worst of all, his wonderful goose was gone forever. The farmer felt very sad. He had lost the best treasure of all because he wanted too much, too fast.
Be thankful for what you have. Wanting more can sometimes make you lose everything.
