The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
One day, the Town Mouse visited her cousin in the countryside. They shared a humble and simple lunch, then sat outside to enjoy tea and talk.
The Town Mouse spoke about her exciting life in the city—full of fancy food and big houses. The Country Mouse listened with wide eyes. That night, they slept peacefully in a cozy nest. The next morning, the Town Mouse invited her cousin to visit the city. The Country Mouse said yes.
In the city, the Town Mouse showed her a table full of delicious treats. But just as the Country Mouse was about to take a bite, a loud meow! scared them both! They ran and hid. Then came barking and bustling servants. It was too much! The Country Mouse packed her bag and said, “You have fancy things, but I like my quiet life in the country.”
A simple life with peace is better than a fancy one filled with fear.
