Let's Meet the Amphibian All-Star Team:

  1. Double Life: Amphibians are like magical creatures because they can live in water and on land! Think of frogs starting as tadpoles in the water and then hopping onto lily pads.
  2. Smooth or Bumpy Skin: Some amphibians, like frogs and salamanders, have smooth, wet skin. Others, like toads, have bumpy, drier skin – perfect for blending into the ground!
  3. Amazing Jumpers and Crawlers: Frogs and toads are fantastic jumpers with strong legs, ready to leap for bugs! Salamanders, on the other hand, like to wiggle and crawl through leaves and logs.
  4. Super Sticky Tongues: Watch out, bugs! Frogs and toads have super long, sticky tongues that they can flick out in a flash to catch their dinner.
  5. Cold-Blooded Cuties: Amphibians are cold-blooded, which means their body temperature changes with the air or water around them. So, you'll often find them soaking up the sun to warm up!
